You wanna get it right sometimes…

Just listening to that Coldplay song “It’s how you see the world” and it is blowing my mind again. I don’t really know what they intended with the song but it sounds like a metaphor for every stupid war that has ever taken place in the world. I’m a pacifist and a pretty devote one. I haven’t been in a fight since childhood and even then I can only think of 2 times in my life where its come to that and both times I didn’t start it. I finished it. Now, I don’t even get into it with people. The reason is not really because I think that fighting is the worst thing ever because if people broke into my house with baseball bats and threatened my family you’d see my pacifism thrown carelessly to the wind as I took up arms in the form of the closest blunt object and defended my family to my last breath.

What I’m talking about is the traditional warfare that seems to make less and less sense. I honestly believe that those at the top believe in what they are doing when they propose a war instead of peace. It’s just that I don’t agree with them. Now, I’m not so naive to think that some fighting is not necessary, to the contrary. I just think that the minute you’re going about the conquering of foes that you’ve manufactured and who have not presented themselves as true foes you’ve crossed the line. It doesn’t matter how right you believe you are, my friends, you’re wrong. It’s never too late to stop. You can always take a different perspective. You can always change your mind.
